We offer free 90-minute accessible walking tours of the campus seven days a week, rain or shine. Applying to Berkeley? Tourist? Nostalgic alum? A campus tour is perfect for you! Our expert tour guides are student ambassadors who cover academics, history of the University, health & safety, athletics, student life, and much more. The tour outlines our residence halls and dining options, but does not include viewing a residence hall (visit the Cal Housing website for more information). Registration is required for these tours (link at the bottom of this page).
These accessible walking tours are for individuals, families, and parties of up to 9 people. If you are a school group, organization, a bigger group, any size group requesting a Spanish or Mandarin language tour, or you’re interested in a private walking tour or golf cart tour for a fee, please visit the Special Group and Private Walking Tours page or Golf Cart Tours page for more information.
Tours start at the Koret Visitor Center at 2227 Piedmont Avenue in the historic California Memorial Stadium, except on home football game weekends when the tour on Sunday will start at the Campanile, the tall clock tower in the middle of campus. Tours end near Sproul Plaza, an approximately 10 minute walk from the Visitor Center.
