A Local Treasure
Solano Avenue is the northernmost district in Berkeley, a local treasure with an enchanting array of restaurants, retail establishments, personal service providers and professionals.
Solano Avenue offers something to see, do and eat every day, but it really opens up every September for the annual Solano Stroll. One of the most famous Berkeley events, the "Stroll" fills the one-mile length of Solano Avenue with street performers, carnival rides, food stands and local merchants. And iconic Indian Rock is just a few steps from the top of the "Avenue," an all-Berkeley place to take in the sunset.
